hello, I hope you have all had a fantastic holiday. My favourite book that I have read in the holidays is a book called 'happily ever Ivy' it is set in the middleages and their is a young girl called Ivy, and she has a devoting father that loves her and a maid who worrys about everything. Her mother died when she was a child and her fairy godmother has gone astray. Ivy then is sent to a tower on her 14th birthday that is being guarded by a dragon, whatever prince kills the dragon gets to be queen and gets the princesses hand of marrige. Ivy does not want to be locked up in this tower and the dragon does not want to be slain, so they set out on an adventure together. It is a trulely magical book, read it if you can.

3 things I have learned this year so far!

This year so far I have learned 3 important things.

No.1 I have learned that I can do whatever I believe in. that I just have to do it without thinking so that I do not over think it. Like how sometimes I think, Will the rope fail we? What if? What if?

No.2 I have gotten more confident around challenges inside the class room and outside the class room. I can do much more challenges that are thrown at me.

No.3  I am getting higher scores on my basic fats test. For  I have been practising very hard and I hae worked out  strategy that makes me go MUCH faster.


I have found that these skills that I have earned have improved my personality so much that I am differently a better person.

Happy Easter!

Easter was the best I have ever had!

Me and my family went to a hotel to have brunch. I met my new baby cousin Molly-Grace. I made cookies for all of the cousins. I also made boxes for the cookies to go in. I made bunny faces and eggs. they looked so awesome! the hotel that I went In had this awesome computer were you stood in front of it and it saw you moving and so the person on the computer would move. It was really interesting.

Camp

This week is our last week before the year 8s go on camp. It is going to be so fun! It is going to take 6 hours to drive to the camp. I am so glad that I am in a car with some of my friends other wise it would be a very boring car ride! I have all my gear ready and I am getting very excited about going there! It is going to be interesting what friends I come closer to and who will be my new friends. I am very nervous about bridge jumping, but we may not do it. This is going to be very exciting!

Duo lingo

Duolingo

Duo lingo is differently helping with my Spanish. I remember:
El hombre = The man
El nino = The girl
El nina = The boy
          Easy!
 I am really enjoying doing it. I am 5% fluent Spanish!  I find that I can not remember some words so it does take a while. I do know a trick:
repeat the lesson at least 2- 3 times. 
It makes it easier to remember! I hope you have a great week!

 

tech

Movie Making!

 At tech I am doing movie making. it is extraordinarily fun and I get to be with some people I don't know very well and so I get to know them better. We have started to make a short movie, just to practice with. I am really excited to doing sewing. it is my favorite and i fell it will help me a little in life (not much but it will still help!). In the next few sessions we will be editing our short film that we made last week.                                                        It is a great thing to look forward to every Monday.

this year has been very exciting so far. i got my librarian and my first aid badges. this means that i will be a librarian and a first-   aider. i am very excited to be back at school to see all my friends again. i have meet some new people and we are becoming fast friends.
